Post subject:  Whats the current state

Hi, I was wondering if anyone here would be willing to give me quick status report on freeMXF and where it is in terms of muxing/demuxing according to the specification. Is is fully compliant already or is there parts which needs more work?

There are always things to do (a bit like painting the Forth Bridge!), not only because MXF is an evolving standard.

The library is about to be released at 1.0 status and will then be out of "beta"

Good news, we will probably start trying to support MXF in GStreamer using freeMXF soon then. Will let you know how that goes :) Thanks for this great project.

That's great, but.. the library I mentioned is MXFLib which is C++.

There is a C-only library (KLVLib) but this is pretty primitive and not currently being maintained.

Is the C++ nature of the library a problem (I am aware that GStreamer is a C library not C++)
