Hello,

is there a way to create an MXF-file with uncompressed video (PAL: 720x576, 25 fps) and uncompressed audio (2 ch, 16 bit, 48 kHz) + XML formed Text as metadata in my own c++ program using MXFlib?

thanks, Rico.

p.s. sorry for my bad english

Yes indeed.

The only significant item missing is an essence source for uncompressed video, this will probably be an essence sub-parser based on esp_template.h/cpp. I am happy to give you pointers on how to write this.

If you want to e-mail me I will be happy to give more detailed advice [ my address is matt at freemxf dot org ]

P.S. There seems to be nothing wrong with your English!

Thanks for your answer. :D

I'm a rookie in c++ programming and so I'm not sure that I had the accomplishments to write this feature in a new program.

I'm writing my diploma and I'm searching an MXF::SDK which is the best for my task. I will record in the TV studio the video signal (SDI) with a PC and convert it in an MXF-file (uncompressed PAL + uncompressed Audio). Than I must read this MXF-File and save some XML-data as Metadate to the recorded video.
:?: Is this with MXFlib feasible?

:?: Is it very complex to implement the uncompressed PAL essenz-typ? I don't have an idea how much time is need to write this c++ program for this task. Have you an idea?

Thanks, Rico.

If you only need a basic file it should be quite easy to write the code.

If you e-mail me I can help.
