Post subject:  377M version

Hello, guys..

I'm working on a project for some sort of digital asset management system.

And my job is analyzing mxf file in Java.

The spec that I received from the company titled as "S377M-format-tp2.pdf"
and it's sure that this document tagged "Copyright 2003... THIS PROPOSAL IS PUBLISHED FOR COMMENT ONLY"

I found SMPTE store sells "SMPTE 377M-2004"..

I want to know is there any significant changes?
Do I have to buy the new one?

Well, you really should buy it!

The copy you have is probably pretty much up to date, but:

a) There were a few subtle changes at the end of the drafting process that your document could be missing
b) If you want to be sure that your files or decoder are correct there is no real way without having the official document
c) In most countries it is illegal for someone to have sent you this document - if you are using this as part of a job you should really keep it legal!!

Thank you, Mr. Admin (:))
It was really helpful.
I should tell my boss to buy it for me.
