Post subject:  MXF qualifier 'qq' byte

Hello.
Could someone tell me what kind of info the qualifier byte defined in the specs has? Specifically, what does a 09 qualifier byte means.
Thanks.

This is covered in table 8 of 377M

In summary:
bit 0 is always 1
bit 1 signifies that the file has external essence
bit 2 signifies that the file has not been optimized for streaming
bit 3 signifies that the file has more than one essence track in one of the essence containers

So for the value 9 you have a file that has only internal essence, is optimizes for streaming and has at least one multi-track container
