Hi there,

I'm an absolute beginner in MXF and freeMXF. What I'm trying to do is to convert a sequnece of files (dpx of tiff) into MXF and add the timecode to the MXF file. What would be the aproach for that? All the exakples I saw require as input an avi or dv file.

There are versions of essence parsers in the pipline for DPX and TIFF files (there is already a JPEG 2000 parser) and there is also code for parsing multiple files into a single stream.

If you require these features in the near future please e-mail me and I will see if I can help...

Hi Matt,

Finally I was able to get back to using freeMXF. What's the status of encoding say dpx file sequence?

Metaglue have software that is based on MXFLib and will wrap a DPX sequence - is this of any interest to you?
